ConvaTech is committed to the provision and maintenance of a healthy and safe work place for all employees, subcontractors and visitors. Safety is fundamental to the operation of the company’s activities and ranks equally with sales and profitability. Health and safety are also of critical importance at our customer’s sites. These sites have in place detailed OH&S procedures that have been developed in recognition of the specific risk elements of the sites’ operations.
ConvaTech will ensure compliance with OH&S legislation and all other relevant Codes of Practice and Standards so that everything practicable is done to prevent injury or illness arising form unsafe practices and hazards in the workplace. The participation of employees in all OH&S matters will be encouraged through the consultation process undertaken by the Occupational Health and Safety Committee and management.
ConvaTech will ensure that all employees are familiar with the ConvaTech Safety Management program, and that no employee will be engaged to work on any site until the employee has undertaken the induction, which is specific to the site.
ConvaTech is committed to a Best Practice approach for Occupational Health Safety and Rehabilitation programs as an integral part of total quality management philosophy. This also includes revision of the Safety Management Plan at regular intervals.
